Community Guidelines

Curiosity, Creativity, Respect.

Badu and all its products and services, including and as an example PixelFlik, is a place to create, share, and discover content from people all over the world. Content can take any form, from a single photo to a complex narrative filled with videos, photographs, and text. We want each member of the community to express themselves creatively, share their thoughts and experiences freely, and safely explore their curiosities about the rest of the world.

Here are a few guidelines to make sure PixelFlik is a fun and safe experience for everyone.

Share Your Content: When you upload content to PixelFlik, we assume it is your content or you have written permission to use it. Please respect other people’s copyright. We have built in ways to celebrate other people’s material posted on PixelFlik, like leaving them a comment, or promoting their posts so all of your friends can enjoy them also. Our copyright procedures are set forth in the Terms of Service. You also may not impersonate others on PixelFlik.

The Golden Rule: Be respectful when interacting with other members of the community. Expressing yourself through postings might be easy for some, but it’s a big deal for others. Hateful, aggressive, or distasteful comments ruin everyone’s day. Keep it positive, and if you have nothing nice to say, well, you know the rest.

Nudity and Mature Content: PixelFlik is meant for everyone of all ages. While we consider tasteful nudity to be art, content of a pornographic nature does not belong on PixelFlik’s publicly viewable Tribes. We want everyone to feel comfortable exploring PixelFlik. If you chose to share explicit content privately, then make sure it is legal to do so. You have been warned. Badu will report any identified illegal content to relevant authorities.

If it’s Illegal, it doesn’t belong on PixelFlik: You may not use our service for any unlawful purposes or in furtherance of illegal activities, including violence and threats of violence. We do reserve the right to take appropriate action, which may include reporting you to the authorities. International users agree to comply with all local laws regarding online conduct and acceptable content.

Spam Stinks: This is a place to catalog your digital life and to form deep bonds with others’ experiences so please, don’t use your account to spam the community. If you’re not sure if it’s spam, here is a list of things we don’t allow: posting content with deliberately misleading tags, purchasing likes, repetitive comments, and egregious self or brand promotion using other people’s content.

Profile Squatting: We reserve the right to restrict the use of certain usernames and profile URLs on behalf of businesses or individuals that hold legal claim or trademark to it. Accounts that are inactive for more than six months may have their profile URLs removed or reclaimed. Any profile user name of the form pixelflik@registered-domain is hereby reserved for the exclusive use of the domain registrant.

Reporting Violations: PixelFlik is a diverse community, and from time to time you may find content that may be offensive to you. If you think the content violates one of these guidelines, report it and a PixelFlik team member will investigate. However, it is not our job to protect your view of morality or of what is right or wrong. We value our user’s freedoms as granted within the policies provided herein.

It is important for you to note that breaking the rules outlined here may result in a disabled account, or discontinued access to PixelFlik and possibly other Badu products & services, without warning. Also, remember that by using PixelFlik, you are subject to our Terms of Use.

Now go forth and share!
